A Unique Curriculum for unique times

Following the 2020 murder of George Floyd, organizations in every industry launched or revitalized diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives. Universities, foundations, and corporate America pledged millions of dollars to address racial inequality. Unfortunately, most of these efforts were half-baked and unsustainable.

Since 2023, DEIB-specific hiring dropped by 48%, funding for DEIB efforts decreased drastically in every sector, and there are now over 220 bills proposed across the country that explicitly attack or seek to ban DEIB initiatives altogether. Following the 2024 re-election of Donald Trump as US President, things will undoubtedly only get more dire for those of us who are fighting for equity.

Now is the time to double-down on your investment in workplace race equity.

Designed especially for teams in this historic moment on the clock of the world, this self-paced e-course challenges you to learn, feel, and connect with other people in real-time.

Together, you’ll explore:

  • History of white supremacy and the legacy of white settler colonialism in the US

  • Roots and ongoing realities of racial capitalism in modern workplaces

  • Hegemony and dominant cultures of power

  • Intersectionality and positively valuing difference

  • Overcoming resistance to change

  • Reimagining your organization's relationship to power with our 5 D’s of anti-racist leadership

  • Somatic embodiment of all that comes up in your individual and collective bodies throughout the lessons of this course

Designed for Teams
Available for Solo Learners, Too

No one person can dismantle white supremacy or racial capitalism on their own. If it were possible, it would have happened already by people far smarter, wiser, braver, and more capable than any of us.

We need each other to put a dent in these centuries-long, deeply rooted systems of oppression that are designed to divide, terrorize, and break us. We have to do it together.

So, this course is designed for teams of people to learn, feel, grow, and connect together in this important work.

Individuals can absolutely enroll and will definitely gain something from this course, but we strongly encourage you to get at least one or more friends, colleagues, neighbors, family members, or community members to purchase and take it with you for maximum learning and growth benefit.

Each lesson comes with reflection prompts for solo reflection, journaling, and art-making, as well as discussion prompts, worksheets, exercises, and other activities for people who are going through the course together.

If taken seriously, we believe this course will help you all:

  • Learn more about yourselves and one another

  • Lean into vulnerability (which invites vulnerability from others)

  • Foster trust and a sense of camaraderie

  • Create momentum around courageous learning and growth together

  • Inspire new ideas, practices, and strategies to try in real-time

  • Invite a new and loving definition of accountability that proactively invites and appreciates critical feedback as opportunities for repair and healing as you practice and grow together!

Pricing

PRICING

TIERED PRICING

We offer honor-based, tiered pricing based on your organization’s annual budget or your individual income for solo learners. Basically, we ask that you pay more if you have more, and pay less if you don't. We trust you to assess your financial position and invest in a way that reflects both your capacity and your commitment to the collective care we all deserve.

WHY?

Our work is queer-, trans-, and women of color-led, and this pricing structure is an intentional practice of the community care and solidarity we value. When you choose a payment tier below, you are not only supporting our labor and vision but also participating in a radical model of exchange that acknowledges how systems of inequality like racism, sexism, and ableism shape access to power and privilege, challenges extractive capitalism, and uplifts community-based solutions.

By inviting those with greater financial resources and privilege to contribute more, we create opportunities for those with fewer resources to access our program at a reduced rate. This helps us make more high-quality, transformative content while making these learning opportunities accessible to as many people as possible. Shout out to the AORTA Cooperative for inspiring this approach!

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Identify which tiered price below is most appropriate for you, and click "Buy Now" in that tier.

  2. You'll be redirected to Kajabi, the platform that hosts this e-course program.

  3. Select the number of seats you need to buy at the tier you selected. If it's just you, purchase one. If you're buying it for a group or organization, please select the total number of people who will be participating in the e-course together. You can pay with a debit or credit card at checkout.

  4. At checkout, you'll be offered the chance to add monthly progress reports and a private Cadre Community Forum exclusive to your team.

  5. Once your purchase is complete, you will receive an email with a time-sensitive link to complete your registration with the e-course.

  6. If you are purchasing seats for your group or organization, you will need to take one more important step! Prepare a spreadsheet (CSV file) that only lists the names and email addresses of everyone you want to enroll in the course, obviously matching the number of seats you purchased. Email this spreadsheet to us at info@justrootsconsulting.com, and we will make sure everyone gets their initial registration link within 3-5 business days.
